Keely Hodgkinson finished her two-lap campaign with a triumph at the women-only Athlos event in New York on Friday night.
{The reigning Olympic champion, who secured third place at the global championships recently, dominated an impressive victory in one minute 56.53 seconds in what was only her sixth race in a year affected by a muscle issue.
Fellow Briton and world silver medallist Georgia Bell took the runner-up spot again in 1:58.33, while St Vincent's Shafiqua M. (one minute 58.57) secured third place.
"I haven't competed much this season so it was likely easier for me to compete and want to give it something," said the 23-year-old.
"The environment at the event is crazy so it was really, really fun."
The female-exclusive meet packed the stadium in its second edition, introducing a festive vibe to conventional athletics, with live music and special crowns substituting standard medals.
The 23-times tennis major winner Serena W., who is married to Athlos founder Alexis O., was on hand to present the victors with their tiaras.
Previous champions took home $60,000 (£44,603) - one of the largest prize purses in athletics.
The competition also attracted some of the sport's biggest names, as Kenya's three-time Olympic gold medallist and global record breaker Faith K. won the mile, finishing in four hours 17.78 minutes.
American Brittany B., the 200m bronze medallist from the recent Paris Games, secured the 100m and 200m double.
