A moment of hesitation almost resulted in Brits a dismissal, however the throw from Nat Sciver-Brunt missed the stumps. She then replied by smashing a wide delivery past cover to the boundary. Bell ended the over with a well-pitched ball that bounced over Brits' bat.
Fourth Over: South Africa 21-0 (Wolvaardt 13 runs, Tazmin Brits 6)
Linsey Smith delivered a controlled over. Even with the previous opportunity, reports indicate that England have the top fielding record in this competition.
3rd Over: The Proteas 19 for no loss (Laura Wolvaardt 12 runs, Tazmin Brits 5)
A half-chance was not taken. Tazmin Brits hammered a delivery back at Bell, that raced for four runs.
Second Over: South Africa 14-0 (Laura Wolvaardt 12 runs, Tazmin Brits 1 run)
Overcast conditions hovered over the venue, with the lights in use. Smith seemed in better rhythm compared to earlier games yet served up a loose delivery which Wolvaardt punished to the off-side boundary for four.
First Over: The Proteas 9-0 (Wolvaardt 8 runs, Tazmin Brits 0 runs)
Lauren Bell started the innings with the new ball. Wolvaardt immediately took advantage, hitting the first ball with style past cover for four. Another wide delivery was slashed for another boundary. Bell then tightened her line, yielding only a single off a wide ball.
