The Pop Star Plays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Mockumentary Teaser
Charli XCX is getting ready for a major cinematic appearance in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
In the film, she plays what she calls as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, the star remarked.
She further explained in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea stemmed from the demand to make one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The debut trailer, launched on recently, blends authentic footage from her recent tour with fictionalized behind-the-scenes moments.
The Moment is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who explained that the story focuses on a world where the singer opted for alternate decisions throughout the promotion of her smash hit album Brat.

A Busy Acting Schedule
This project is a single one of numerous future film appearances for the star, who has starred in three festival films in the current year.

Future Ventures
Next year will also include Charli together with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
She also joined to appear in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.
I’m deeply appreciating my acting journey, Charli stated. I’m highly enthusiastic at the moment in acting, and I solely want to do things that inspire me.
Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also include the launch of the filmmaker’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will include fresh tracks from the singer.
She is also set to provide music for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch next year.
The Moment is set to premiere on 30 January.
