Two Men Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder following the death in prison of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to investigating officers.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
